                 A MESSAGE FROM THE PUBLISHER
FOR THE COMMUNITY
The COVID-19 pandemic will stand out in history as a world-changing event. In the course of just one month, governments around the world have taken steps to collectively combat the spread of the disease—essentially putting economies on hold. In the process, it seems as though everyday life and work has been suspended.
In the face of this unprecedented situation, SHOWSIGHT remains committed to doing what’s right for our employees, our clients and for the dog show community. We are continuously monitoring quarantine policies and state-by-state restrictions, and we’re making the necessary adjustments to ensure the safety of our SHOWSIGHT family while keeping our business operating. We are proud of—and grateful for—the support that we’ve received from our clients which has allowed us to bring this issue into your living room during these unprecedented times.
Just in case you missed our March 16th Press Release, I would like you to know that ALL advertising proceeds from this edition are being used to help our dog show friends and families. Every dollar will be used for essentials, including dog food, and the SHOWSIGHT family will be donating an additional $50,000 to the cause. But the relief effort doesn’t stop there. SHOWSIGHT is also offering FREE mar- keting to anyone in our community who is providing virtual business services such as online handling, grooming and training classes. Please contact us so that we can build a digital ad for you that will be available on all of our social media platforms throughout the US, Canada and Europe.
Many within our community have expressed thanks to SHOWSIGHT for our offer to help, and some have even asked us why are we doing this. Our response is simple: If you hadn’t supported SHOWSIGHT throughout the years, we wouldn’t have a magazine for you to enjoy today. Also, we honestly feel that it is our duty to help. Everyone who is capable of lending a hand can do so, and the assistance doesn’t even have to be financial. Moral support can be offered to someone over the phone, and positive words can be shared on social media. Even a text message at this time can truly change someone’s life. This is why I urge every single person in our community to remain positive (especially on social media platforms like Facebook). This is a time to stay positive, not fall for the negative. There is already enough uncertainty out there to worry about. So if there are things that we might not agree with right now, let’s wait and address them once we all get back to normal. Please, let’s do this for everyone in our community.
As you enjoy this latest edition of SHOWSIGHT, please know that we will continue to work around the clock to ensure our community’s success. We will continue to publish our biweekly ShowSight Express, and we’ve recently launched ShowSight Digital Agency to better serve today’s breeders, han- dlers, exhibitors and dog clubs. For detailed information, please visit our website www.showsightdigitala- gency.com where you will learn more about all the services that we provide. (And you’ll even see a few projects that were recently completed.)
Remember, these difficult days will pass. We WILL get back to showing dogs, giving each other hugs, and being grateful for one another like never before.
STAY SAFE AND REMAIN STRONG! SEE YOU SOON...
Always best,
