IRIS LOVE

Iris Love, a multifaceted leading lady of the dog world, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020. She will always be remembered as a fascinating, extraordinary member of our sport.
Recognized as a world-renowned archaeologist, socialite, philanthropist, Dachshund breeder, and owner of top-winning dogs, Love was also known for her lavish parties during Westminster week. When invitations arrived for the events hosted by Iris Love, Brooke Astor and Liz Smith, recipients looked forward to a very special experience.
I hope you will enjoy seeing a few of the photos I have taken during one of her West- minster parties at New York’s Tavern On The Green.
Many human celebrities were always present, but the most special guests were Dachs- hunds owned by Love’s friends. Waiters were all around holding out silver trays filled not with hors d’oeuvres for humans but rather the chef ‘s creations especially for the Dachshunds. Being there was a special experience for the phenomenal memories made with the friend we will always hold dear.
